This listing is for a hard to find Cathrineholm of Norway dark brown lotus butter warmer and cast iron stand. This small sauce pan has a pouring spout and wooden handle and it sits atop the cast iron stand to be used table side.. This comes with original cast iron stand and candle holder, perfect for keeping a sauce or butter warm at the table or for display.The white lotus pattern is set against a pretty dark cocoa brown enamel. There is some slight tiny fleabites (the smallest of chips) to the top rim interior and exterior, and wear on the bottom where it sat on the cast iron burner, and the interior has some dullness to the inside bottom and what looks like some pitting in some areas/ but no damage to the lotus pattern, scratches, or scuffs. The handle has a old burn mark on the bottom which cannot be seen from the top. Measurements are as follows:Height: 3.25 in (8.3 cm),Across: 4.75 in (12.1 cm),Across Handles: 9.25 in (23.5 cm),Height with Stand: 6 in (15 cm). The cast iron stand has some old wax residue and takes a small candle. This was made in Norway with its base made in Japan. This was made during the tenure of Grete Prytz Kittelson and is an iconic example of this genre. This is from a smoke free home and it is authentic mid-century.
