Here is a small Celluloid or Bakelite? container full of beautiful Carved Mother of Pearl Victorian buttons found in a box of grams jewelry. This screw top container is a bit bigger than a quarter. The buttons have rhinestones but some are missing and are likely at the bottom of a huge box of loose beads and gems! Someone suggested this could be Bakelite. I don\'t have the proper test chemical, but I used 409 and no yellow on the Qtip. I tested the butterscotch pieces this way and they tested positive. So I leave it up to you. All I know is it\'s very old!
