Up for sale is a vintage hand-crafted wooden model of the Charles W. Morgan, the last of the whaling ships, built and launched in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1841. The model is 3 feet long overall from tip of the bowsprit to the transom and stands 31 inches tall at the tip of the tallest mast. Built sometime in the mid-1970s by a New Bedford area artisan, unknown. It\'s been in the family for about 40 years, but it\'s time to sell it. A great piece of history, especially since the original Morgan returned to its home port of New Bedford for a visit this past summer. And here is a striking, hand-crafted wooden model of the ship.
