This is a beautiful vintage Chelsea Ship’s clock with a 8.5” silver face dial. This type is usually mounted in the wardroom, pilot house or engine room. Lower portion below the center embossed US Government, top portion reads Chelsea Clock Co. Boston. Serial number is 627397 placing this clock around 1958. Clock is perfect for a mantel or tabletop and has an after market mahogany base with brass ball feet. Two extra holes were drilled on the back edge frame so that case could mount to the base. Hands are the pierced arrow type and dial is silver finish. Finish is original and in good condition with some brass corrosion on the top and sides. Movement keeps perfect time and overall condition very good. Generic key is included. Measures- 13” X 12” X 3”, face is 8.5”.
