It is in top-notch condition, showing almost no signs of wear; it was clearly very gently used. When I purchased it, it had been stored away for decades.
This early 40\'s chenille spread\'s design is larger, and the rows of chenille are wider, than you\'ll find in later vintage spreads.
It is an absolute gem.
This is a heavier, top-quality, full-bodied, 100% cotton, vintage chenille bedspread.
The design is outstanding - with swirls banking down all the sides and interlocking rings filled with chris-crossing chenille and diamonds. The spread is not missing any chenille and the fringe is also in fabulous condition.

It has been freshly laundered and is ready to use.
Color reference from Pantone\'s Fashion and Home Color Fan: close to Pantone 11-4300 Marshmallow, and seems to be in the same color family, but is a much lighter shade of 11-0604 Gardenia. In any case - a soft white. As you can see from the shots taken outside, this spread looks very white outside. In artificial light, shooting inside, it has a creamier tone.
