This is a wonderful piece. I purchased it approximately 26 years ago. It is silver plated, I believe the E.P.N.S. style, (electroplated nickel silver) and it is lacquered. It has great character and any wear is age appropriate. I was the only owner and I displayed it for VALENTINE\'S day and sometimes for Christmas. It can hold a pillar candle or a variety of crystal bowls. I photographed a few of these options for your perspective. The sale is for the candle pillar holder without the candle or the two crystal bowls displayed. It is a very heavy piece, almost 8 pounds. The base has the appearance of marble but it is is fact a solid mental lacquered base. The underpart is covered in felt. It stands an impressive 12.5 inches from base to top. Depending on your candle or crystal bowl it will have great height and majesty when adorned. The angel cherub is beautifully composed and will capture your eye from any angel.
