UP FOR sale:

VINTAGE CHINESE HAND CARVED LACQUERED CINNABAR PLATE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The featured item represents a hand carved Chinese lacquered plate that measures approximately 3 7/8\" in diameter.

The piece is made of base metal that sticks to a magnet so I guess iron or iron alloy. The back is coated with black lacquer. The face is made of carved multiple layers of lacquer with cinnabar pigment depicting a landscape scene with cherry blossoms and
a climbing up the hill Great Wall of China with a watch tower on the top.

The item comes in overall good condition with no major damages. Some scratches and scuffs on the back exposing the base metal. I am not finding any big chips or cracks on the carved face but it is possibly there to be some minor ones. The piece could use some cleaning as there a bit of dirt and dust accumulation.

The featured hand carved Chinese cinnabar plate will make a great addition to any collection and be a lovely display for any Asian/Oriental style decorated place!
