Vintage Chinese Sterling Silver Turquoise Coral Ceremonial Lock Pendant This sale is for a colorful and well made, sterling, turquoise and coral ceremonial necklace, that was made in China.This piece is not marked but the pendant, the chain and the beads test positive for sterling silver. The necklace measures 26\" long, it does not have a clasp so it just slips over your head, and the pendant drops another 2 1/2\" below that. The pendant is 2\" wide at its widest point and is 5/8\" thick at its thickest point. The chain at the back of the necklace has an intricate woven pattern and measures 5mm in diameter. There is a little bit of kinking and misshapen spots to the chain but it is a modest amount that is noticeable only upon close inspection. The front of the necklace is accented with natural turquoise, coral, and silver beads that measure a bit fuller than 1/2\" in diameter. The silver beads have a little bit of wear and dimpling, there is a chip to one of the turquoise, and some pitting and natural grooves/discoloration in the coral but they are noticeable only upon close inspection. The bright colors of the turquoise and the coral are a pretty contrast to the silver and give the necklace a lot of texture and visual interest. The pendant has a puffy shape with a raised dragon design that is the same on both sides of the piece. There are no dents to the shape or design of the pendant and the piece has a bright patina that shows off the design detail. At some point I think the necklace was re-strung, I think all the components are original but a bale loop was added to re-attach the pendant so it doesn\'t hang as it did originally. Overall this is a colorful and well made, sterling and turquoise ceremonial necklace, that was made in China and is in very good condition.
