I pulled this stuff out of a box in the basement, blew the dust off, fired it up and it all works! Packet is still alive. I\'m able to connect with several stations and the old PK-88 is still relevant. The PK-88 comes in the original box with the manual and is wired up to the Clegg so you don\'t have to use the mic jack.
It\'s a turnkey packet station, just add 12 volt power supply, computer and antenna and away you go. If you want to hear how much activity you\'re missing, tune into 145.01 through 145.09 (odd last digit) and listen for the sound - THAT is packet radio, not APRS (but they sound identical).
The Clegg works except for a couple of LED segments and the meter lamp. You can still figure out what frequency you\'re on even with the missing segments.
