Vintage Cloth Felt 22\" Lenci ANILI Boy Doll Original Box - Rare \"Casanova\":

This is for a 1981 – CASANOVA 22” doll created by Anili Scavina (daughter of Elena Scavini who started Lenci in 1919) felt doll, signed and dated (18-8-81) on his right foot, see picture. He comes with his original felt outfit and hang tag, plus original tag in box. Also has a nice stand made by Kaiser. He is well cared for clean doll, been in the box since purchased, has no tears, stains, no moth bites or holes, this is in mint condition. This is a wonderful Anili doll, and one of the last dolls that Madame Lenci sculpted for her daughter to start her own doll business. This is \"Casanova\". This doll is also hand signed, and dated by Anili Scavini on the bottom of his foot in in ink pen. Casanova is 21\" tall, has long golden hair tied back under his thick felt black three cornered hat with the pink feather. This doll has striking side glancing blue eyes, and beautiful coloring, and the (grumpy) \"Gruggnetto\" face. Casanova is dressed in 18th Century style clothing made of heavy wool felt. The cream colored vest is decorated with green leaves and his beautiful blue coat with pink flowers, which match his pink calf length pants and the plume on his hat. This doll wears heavy white stockings, and thick black felt shoes, stitched with gold simulated buckles. This doll has a moveable felt head, felt ears, arms, and jointed legs, and a cloth body. This doll is an impressive large size, has no moth or odor problems, and comes with his original box. Casanova was known as the \"great lover of women\". Thank you for looking.
