Vintage Community Plate Flatware Storage Box - Red White & Art Deco:

This is a Vintage Community Plate Flatware, Silverware Storage Box, Chest. The hinged box measures approx. 15 1/4 inches X 11 inches X 3 inches ( almost 3 1/4 \" with the feet). The flatware chest is covered in a textured material of a creamy white center with two red panels piped in silver. The stepped feet and front closure are Art Deco inspired touches. The interior is done in a faux red velvet and a faux white satin on the lid with place slots for the utensils (see pics). There are two labels in the box, COMMUNITY PLATE and GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SEAL. The box has a two step foot on each corner, but one foot is missing the felt covering (see pics). The piece is in good vintage condition with some rubbing on the corners and some spots on the lid and wear on the closure. The interior is clean but there are spots on the white fabric and dark spots in the red where the hinges are attached. Please look at all the pictures.
