Vintage Conductor Baton Bannon\'s Concert Master Engraved Mr Rose 1950s + mystery:
$62.00

Vintage Conductor\'s Baton:Bannon\'s Concert Master.
Here\'s an interesting relic. A 1950\'s era Bannon\'s Concertmaster all metal (aluminum?) baton in original box. Engraving on the handle reads \"Mr. Rose\" on one side, \"Class 53-54\" on the other.
The baton shows some use but is in good condition. Amazingly the original cardboard box has survived as well, although the lid hinge is ripped a bit on the right side, which is visible in the handle close-up photos. It is covered in royal blue and white leather-pattern. The insert is folded to hold anddisplay the baton, and is printed with what appears to be Bannon\'s Batons model names.
This baton is approximately 21 inches long. The box is almost 25 inches long.
An enigmatic mystery is included: who is Mr. Rose? This item was recently found in Saint Louis MO area. Maybe Mr. Rose was a school music teacher, and this baton given to him by the students of the Class of 53-54? Or maybe Mr. Rose graduated from a university music school in that academic year. Or maybe there is a story yet uncovered. No extra charge for the conundrum.
sale starts at $62. That\'s one dollar for each year passed since this baton was originally presented to Mr. Rose. Fair enough, right?
Please let meknow if you think you have any idea who the mysterious maestro Rose may be.
