Here\'s a pretty pink planter/serving bowl that could easily be used for either. I think it would look great with a huge heaping of mashed potatoes. But, I\'ll let the new, next owner decide how to best use it. Made during the 1950\'s this piece of Roseville, Ohio pottery\'s still in very good condition. It does have a couple a little flecks/nicks, that can be seen in the photo\'s. There\'s one on the outside that can be seen easilyin photo # 3 just to the right of the original price tag from \"Birds Greenhouse\", which closed in the early 1970\'s. The other\'s even smaller and can be seen in the first photo at the 6 o\'clock position, photo #7 at the top & photo #8on the inside of the bowl. It\'s not as big as it appears, measuring approximately 1/8\" wide. The other white areas on the inside bottom of the bowl around the 4 o\'clock position in the 1stphoto & #7 at the 10 o\'clock positionappear to befrom the manufacturing process where the paint/glaze didn\'t cover properly. For being over 50 years old this is still a nice piece of pottery from Roseville, Ohio.Cookson Pottery produced some very nice pottery from 1945-1995.
