this item is round and must be displayed on a stand. this listing is for the globe only. any glass votive holder will do if you don\'t have a stand. i place it on a color changing led light for some of the photos to show detail.when i place a tape measure around the body it measures 7\" when i place a ruler next to it, it measures 2.5\" top to bottom. when i lay a ruler down in front of it, it measures 2.5\" left to right.it is clear crystal glass with the map details done in frost.it is quite heavy to mail so the item price is discounted to make up for shipping cost to buyer.i listed it as vintage but it will also work in a modern or contemporary setting or officeif you ant a traditional stand, crystal stands can be purchased separately on as well.
