This sale is for a vintage airplane escape or survival ax. Made by the D.L. Auld of Columbus, Ohio. The company logo \"A\" with wings can be seen although it is somewhat faint. This ax measures about 15 1/4\" inches in length. Weighs about 2 3/4 pounds. Good used condition. The rubber handle is very good and shows the part number 42D8331 and reads \"Test for 20000 Volts\". The ax head is good, shows some dings on the cutting edge from normal use. I believe this is WWII era due to the fact that it is made by Auld but I might be wrong, not sure. Thanks for looking!
