I have no idea what these were used for. The inside looks dirty...almost like used around a fireplace. They are also quite heavy...so maybe bookends. Honestly no idea...but they are pretty cool looking. They each measure 9.5\" tall, 8\" from heel to toe, a diameter at the top opening of 2.5\" and a heel 2.5\". They both show some wear...and one is a little more tarnished than the other. All that said...still a nice item. Any questions, please just let me know.
