Extremely RARE Liberty of London vintage evening gown. Designed by Fredrica Starke of London. Please note: vintage clothing is used clothing and sold as-is. Dates 1959-1962. Glorious floor length evening gown that features a deep V bodice and V back. Soft exquisite nylon outer fabric and lined with cream medium weight nylon.on top of the cream underskirt at lower portion of gown there is a cream tulle net petticoat to add fullness to the skirt. Cream dyed to match side metal zipper closure with placket that snaps closed over the zipper to conceal it. Lovely ribbon gathered waistline with back sash along waist that hooks to the side. Soft muted cocoa brown large flower print over a soft cream background. I found this in the mid 1990s in the state of Illnois. The estates owner was a true clothes horse. The closets were bulging with older clothing. Most were designer items. When I saw the Liberty of London store tag this was the first piece I selected. Feminine and very wearable. Bust 36/38. Deep V neck makes the opening for the bust smaller or wider. Waist 26, hip 38. Length from top bodice to waist back 15, total length 60. Condition is exquisite.
