Offered is an Original and Unrestored Dishonest John (DJ) hand puppet from the Beany and Cecil Television Show in talking condition. The character of Dishonest John was copyrighted in 1950 however Mattel did not develop the talking mechanism until the late 50\'s. The puppet is in excellent shape with no tears, however there appears to have been a seam repair under the left hand (see photos). His face paint looks great especially considering he is over 50+ years old. DJ says a number of things, such as the iconic \"Nya-ha-haa\" as well as many other sayings like \"unhand me, you cad\", \"I\'m in love with a sweet guy, Me\". DJ could be a valuable addition to your vintage toy collection!
