Vintage Double Bead Mercury Glass Christmas Garland

Feather Tree - 8 Feet Long

This is a nice old multi-color garland from a local sale. I am not sure how old it is or where it was made.

It is as found and as is.

The garland is made up of small double beads strung on a cotton cord. The ends are finished with small paper stars.

The beaded portion of the string measures about 8’ 5” feet long. There is about 5” with no beads.

Each hourglass shape bead measures about 5/8 inches long, but there is some slight variation.

The garland is in very nice vintage condition. The colors are still bright and vibrant. As with any item like this there are a few issues as follows:

· There is some paint loss. It is most noticeable on the pink and red beads.

· There are a few broken beads.

· There are a few missing beads based on the length of the string.

· Some beads have lost some of the silvering.

· Some have small dark spots as is common with old mercury glass.

All monitors display color a bit differently. The pictures are of the actual item, but due to monitor variations the color of the item may vary from the photos.
