This is a awesome vintage intake system. An Edelbrock X-C96 crossram intake manifold for a Big Block Chevy engine with 2 Holley List 1850-3 600 CFM carburetors. This crossram takes the intake charge from the opposite side of the engine. This allows for a longer intake runner which makes the engine scream at high RPMs. This intake acts like a tunnel ram with a much lower height. These were quite expensive and exotic back in the 60\'s which makes them very rare and hard to find today.
This intake will fit all big block Chevy engines, including tall deck engines with the proper spacers. It accepts 2 square bore carbs including Holley, Carter, Edelbrock, and other square bore units. The intake is designed to work with rectangular port heads for high RPM use. That said, large oval port heads will work well with this intake if the correct gaskets are used. A quick Google search will open your mind to using a rectangular port intake on large oval port heads. This is one sweet intake.
This true vintage intake system is in very good original condition as shown. There are no breaks, repairs, or corrosion to this intake. This intake is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings. It looks more like a piece of jewelry than a mechanical part. This intake has its original cast finish and looks amazing as shown. There is no porting and all threads are nice with no helicoils or thread inserts. The intake has been clearance in 2 areas for larger Holley primary accelerator pumps. This is really a non-issue since the carbs cover these areas.
This intake comes a pair of Holley List 1850-3 600 CFM 4 barrel carburetors. The Holley List 1850 carb is well known for being a very versatile hot rod carburetor that works well on dual quad applications. All parts move freely on both carbs and both should be rebuilt before use. There is no linkage included with this intake but there are several options readily available. I decided to leave the linkage up to the buyer since each application will require specific linkage. This is simply a super nice vintage intake system that has survived the test of time.
