Eiler & Marløe was one of the most prominent of the 24 Masters of danish silver craftsmanship, who took in apprentices to innovate future designs.Eiler & Marløe started their workshop in Copenhagen in 1920 and made Art Deco and Later Art Deco inspired Modernist jewellery until 1967.

Eiler & Marløe like others of the greats of danish jewellery design used different maker\'s marks, which were either EM insignia or E&M in capital letters. On rare occasions both of two Maker\'s Marks were used and like Georg Jensen they also numbered their designs.

Georg Jensen was at the time considered Eiler & Marløe biggest competitor making jewellery of same Impeccable quality and substansial weight as Georg Jensen.The Art Deco and Modernist designs by Eiler & Marløe was been a great inspiration for George Jensen designers which isnoticeableas many designsresembleeach otherfrom the mid 1920s until 1960s.

This item is an absolute beautiful piece of danish design history from the early 20th century.
