I am offering this Elbert Hubbard inscribed and signed in ink on printed art.This is a black and white8 X10-1/2\" illustration of Elbert Hubbard from the knees up in an open-collared shirt and white pants, signed \"To my good friend\".
Thisinscribed printed art is inscribed \"To my good friend - Carl E. Aumeling\" and signed \"Elbert Hubbard\".The Elbert Hubbard image measures 3¾\" x 5¾\". Hubbard (1856-1915)was a writer, editor and printerthat found the communal art colony Roycroft Press in order to revive old handicrafts, especially artistic printing. Hubbard went down with the Lusitania when it was sunk by the Germans in 1915.
This is lightly toned and has a minimum edge missing on the upper left hand corner but has no foxing,soiling orcreasing.This, in my opinion, is in really good condition for it\'s age. The ink has aged due to the iron that was used in the ink at that time but is still strong and very readable.
This was purchased from an estate with other Hubbard items that the previous owner collected over the years and has has been kept in storage for many years and just recently came out.
