This is a really great piece to add to that vintage antique look or for the person putting in period pieces back in the home. I do not know the year and it looks to be a monogram of a W or M depending how you mount it. I am going to guess it has been painted over with the black and silver. Approx. 6\" x 2 1/2\" without bracket (bracket will remain attached for sale.) To me it kind of sounds like the ring of an old country store door bell when you entered or exited.
