Absolutely beautiful vintagesterling silver decorative collectible SingingBird Box c. 1990s

The top of the box features a female statue with a laurel leaf wreath in her raise right hand

An applied sculpturedmandolinand violin also rest on top of the box

Decorative laurel leaf border

All sides have have chasedmotifs of with various musical instruments and small flower blossoms at corners

Front and back panels centering laurel wreath at the center

The pop-up lid depicts chased musical instruments and flowers

The lid opens to reveal apierced and engraved scroll decorated grill and to release the multi-coloredfeathered plumed bird with a silver beak, rotating on its axis, chirping andflapping its wings

The side of the boxfeatures activation pull knob. The winding mechanism is located on the bottomof the box and comes with original winding key designed as a bird.

The boxstands on four feet feet designed as seated females

All around twisted work wire completes the look

The bottom of the box stamped:“925” and German hallmark

A truly remarkable work of art and decorative collectible!

Condition:

The birdmechanism works well. The box is in good condition with a few scratches consistent with age.
