My Dad served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in Berlin after VE day. When he came home in 1946, he brought back a lot of souvenirs from the war. We have been sorting through his memorabilia and have decided to list some of his things on . There are several dozen items - I will be listing them over the next few days. Please message me if you have any questions about the items. He was a meticulous record keeper, and left notes with almost all of the items. I will do my best to describe them in detail.
This is a batch of European money that Dad brought home at the end of the war. He spent time in each of these countries during his enlistment, so he must have decided to bring some currency home as souvenirs. There is money from Britain, France, Italy and Germany. All of the bills are in excellent condition, but you can tell that they were circulated. The British pound note was folded at one time and still has the fold marks. Ditto one of the German marks.
