STUNNING VINTAGE FALCON WARE 8 Sided PLANTER JARDINIERE Japanese Lantern MASONA Pattern c 1940! Hand Painted Scene with Japanese Lanterns & Geisha and Child with Umbrella On a Black Ground Rare!

In vintage condition displays well as found with no chips, has signs of age and use mainly inside the pot, a couple of missing flakes of glaze, [does have one airline about 1.5\" (visible inside the pot only) plus a small stress crack/factory flaw on the rim to the right of it, both shown in 9th photo], see all photos. Measures 6\" tall and 6.5\" at it\'s widest point, weighs .910 kgs. Just a lovely piece marked impressed \"Made in England\", this is a known Falcon Ware pattern circa 1940\'s It has a richly executed Geisha and child motif. Falcon Ware Pottery was owned by Mr. Thomas Lawrence, who founded it in 1888. The factory was located in Longton, one of the six towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent. Would make a great addition to your collection.
