We are offering a large, scalloped oval vintage gold filled locket with a vivid purple bezel set oval faceted glass or stone. The locket measures approximately 1\" wide by 1 1/8\" tall. The locket is ornate. It has concave scalloped centers on both the front and back covers. It has applied wire curly-ques on the cover and oxidized highlight to the impressed border designs.
It is in wonderful previously loved vintage condition with no dents and very light shallow surface wear to outside front and back..
The locket has both frames, foil paper and plastic for pictures. It comes on a 16\" gold filled chain. I do not think that the chain is original to the locket but that could always be changed later.
The locket is unmarked as to maker or metal content. But based on appearance, age, and design I would guess the locket to be gold filled.
Locket closes tightly and securely but, it is really difficult to open once closed.
