This sale is for a lovely cobalt blue ladiesboot shoe featuring a daisy or ‘starburst’ pattern with a delicate ‘heel.’ It measures a little under 5 1/2\'” long x 1¾” wide x 2 1/2” high and weighs approximately 9 ounces unpackaged. This unique piece was made by Fenton Art Glass Company, the largest manufacturer ofhandmade colored glass in the United States.Founded in 1905 by Frank L. Fenton and his brother John W. Fenton in anold glass factory building in Martins Ferry, Ohio,the men eventually produced their own glass and the first glass from the newFenton factory in Williamstown, West Virginia, was made onJanuary 2, 1907. In 1986, the leadershipof the company passed on to the third generation, with George W. Fenton takingover as President. Today, nine Fenton family members work together along withover 150 employees to create handmade glass artistry that is loved bycollectors around the world. Fenton is known for its beautiful colors andpatterns. Each piece of glass is an artistic creation by skilled glassworkersand decorators.
