Over the past several decades, Fenton Art Glass Company produced an assortment of collectible glass shoes based on 19th century designs. Among the most popular is Daisy and Button, which Fenton has offered as both slipper and boot in many colors. The \"boot\" actually replicates a Victorian high-button shoe, intended to shield milady\'s ankle from public view.This lovely pink Daisy and Button heeled boot shades from pastel to deep rose with the depth of the glass, showing off the design\'s intricate faceted detail. The boot measures about 4-1/4 inches to the highest point of its scalloped rim and about 4-1/4 inches from heel to toe. There is no maker\'s mark.

Fenton\'s #1990 Daisy and Button boot is heavy for its size -- nearly 10 ounces! Properly boxed and buffered, the mailing weight will be 2 pounds.Condition is fine -- no nicks, chips or cracks -- although the tip of the toe is a tiny bit rough. Striations appear on the boot\'s solid heel; the hollow underside is smooth.
