This original vintage Hand-Painted Artwork on late 19th to early 20th century gray backed Pressed Artist Board, measuring 4.25\" x 6.25\" housed in a 9.75\" x 11.75\" ornate gold painted wooden frame. It is in American \"Folk Art\" style and depicts President Abraham Lincoln with his beard, as he looked during his Presidency. The painting itself is perfect in its execution, without any apparent distractions or repairs. There are a couple of corner nicks to the frame gesso and a very old light gold paint was added long ago with the original gilding showing through is several sections. Overall, it is hard to exactly date this stylish Oil Painting of Lincoln which is in excellent condition and ready to hang upon display.
