1895 Classic Coca Cola Advertizing featuring Hilda Clark. Hilda Clark was among the first (of many) celebrities to appear inCoca-Colaadvertising. Clark was both a singer and an actress. She starred in the 1895 musical “The Princess Bonnie,” but she found her success in singing. She sang in various theatres along the East Coast of the US where she was billed as a light opera singer. Clark’s image was used on a wide variety of advertising materials from 1899-1903. Her smiling face could be found on serving and change trays, glass change receivers, tin and cardboard signs, trade cards, clocks, coupons, and bookmarks. Clark’s face is one of the most often used in earlyCoca-Colaadvertising.
