This is a beautiful vintage French white beaded and embroidered purse, hand made in France during the approx. 1930 era.

Although this purse is not labeled (possibility of a stamped label worn off), it speaks clearly for the French beaded evening handbags that were designed, with the well recognized Tambour embroidery.

The French led the way when it came to elegant beaded evening wear and during the 1930\'s they excelled in the execution of the Point de Beauvais stitch, as it is beautifully exhibited on this purse.

The interior maintains it\'s original nearly white satin lining with a single pocket- There are 2 interior light stains as pictured. The workmanship is everything you would expect from a French beaded evening bag.

Measures 8-1/2\" across and approx 5\" deep. Gold tone rope chain measures approx 10\" long. Closure works and functions great-the beading design is undone and loose on closure-please see pictures. It could easily be redone-there are holes in closure that allow for stringing/beading without having to touch the rest of the purse. BEAUTIFUL cloisonné work! Excellent French piece!
