Here is a antique vintage Frenchtapestry chair seat cover panel with a figural lady and her suitor scene and abstract flower pattern around the center area.

Antique Vintage French Tapestry Panel Chair Seat CoverMeasurements: 28\" wide and 30\" deep.

As this tapestry was made into a chair seat cover there are cuts into the tapestry panel. These cuts run 4\" deep and are on each side of the tapestry. The top and bottom edges of the tapestry have wear also as these would also have been pulled to go under the chair seat.

Therefore the likely useable area if you wished to avoid any of the cuts and wear would be: 19 1/2\" x 27\"

The antique vintage French tapestry chair seat cover panel looks to be machine done.

The surrounding areas on the tapestry chair seat cover panel look to have been woven.

I do not know if the surrounding areas on the tapestry chair seat cover panel are handmade or machine made but the wool looks woven/gathered. I have taken photos of the back of the tapestry chair seat cover panel (see photos 10 through 12).

The antique vintage French tapestry panel chair seat cover is ingood pre-ownedconditionwith some faults.

As mentioned, there are 4\" cutswhere the legs of the chair cover would go. As well there are some wearholes at the edges of the tapestry being removed.

Photo 6 is showing theleft hand side of the tapestry.

Photo 7 is showing the right hand side of the tapestry.

Photo 8 is showing the bottom edge of the tapestry and there is some wearto the tapestry. 3\" from the bottom edge,

I saw 5 tiny wear areas ofa couple/few stitches that have been repaired with a black stitch. Thereis 1 wear area of a couple of stitches in green that has not been repaired (seephoto 8)

Some single stray threads at the topedge.

The tapestry has been folded and thecenter panel area has a fold in it (see photo 9)

The tapestry has a storage mustysmell to it and will need to be cleaned before use. I saw 1 pale stain bythe lady figure

When packaging for mailing, the tapestry will be folded to keep thecost of shipping low and wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap.
