Vintage GEMCO Sugar or Cheese Shaker Dispenser
Measurements: 3 3/4\" high with lid x 2 1/4\" wide.
Use: Besides using this shaker as a sugar or cheese shaker, it could also be used for red pepper flakes, powdered sugar or cinnamon & sugar.
Marking: The metal lid is unmarked. The glass bottom is marked: \"gemco W 6 U.S.A.\"
Condition: Referring to the Kitchen reference books, I see that this Gemco shaker originally had a dark green fired-on metal lid. On the inside of the shaker lid you can see, in the deep grooves, some vestiges of dark green. Apparently, one of it\'s past owners did not care for the color combination and removed the dark green so now it has a silver lid. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on the glass shaker.
