This thimble and some of the others I will be listing come from the collection of DeLoris Anderson, long time member of TCI and the Bay Area Thimble Society. DeLoris has decided to downsize her collection giving others a chance to share some of her wonderful thimbles and sewing tools.
This thimble was made by Gabler of Germany in the 1920s. It has the octagonal star on top and is also marked Alpacca on the very unique band which denotes German Silver. It\'s in excellent condition, in round with no holes. I haven\'t seen too many Alpacca thimbles come up for sale.
Note: Because these photos are greatly enlarged, any scratch or ding shows up more than it does in real life.
