Vintage Georgian Regency Style Silver Plated Teapot

mouseover to enlarge Wonderful Vintage Georgian Regency Style Silver Plated Teapot

A wonderful example of a vintage electroplated nickel silver teapot.Made in the much sought after Georgian Regency period style (sometimes called Queen Anne), although most unfortunately for use all, it is not of that age! Nonetheless, this piece is a must for any collection.Fitted with an ebonised handle and removeable finial.
Presented in good - very good** condition: see below for more details.**Bearing a shallow ding on one side and some minor rubbing to the plate, at the tops of the ribbed decoration, especially on the lid which have slightly reduced the overall grading, otherwise this great piece would have gained a higher grading.

Made by Barker Brothers in Birmingham. In business from 1802 until late 20th century.Dated c1930.

Height (top of finial) 18.3cm
Length (handle to spout) 28.2cm
Capacity 1.136l

In arguably good - very good condition, with no damage* or repairs. As mentioned earlier, there is a shallow ding / bump on one side and there is some minor thinning to the plate at the tops of the raised decoration - see last pictures. The teapot is quite useable, nonetheless!
The overall grading has been reduced and reflects these minor issues.
Bearing the usually inherent scratches that one must reasonably expect to find on used pieces.

A reasonable starting offer has been set, with no other reserve.
Make no mistake, this wonderful piece will sell to the highest buyer.

All items in my listings are of some age and generally have been used for the purpose for which they were made.
For clarity within my listings the grading definitions I use which best describe the external qualities of each piece are as follows:

Very Fine - Extremely good condition with no detrimental issues - rarely found on antiques outside of a museum!
Fine - Has signs of careful / respectful use with minimal surface scratches commensurate with age and such use.
Very Good - Has no dings of any real consequence, few scratches (no more than expected through normal usage), that are not unsightly.
Good - May have less than five minor dings and / or some scratching (more than normal usage) and / or minor pit marks, but not considered detrimental.
Fairly Good - May have numerous (+ five) minor dings and / or some plate thinning and other signs of prolonged use which includes deep scratches and patches of pit marks to the plating.
Reasonable - May have repairable / repaired dents or other issues and may / or will need replating, but is still of probable interest.

I cannot guarantee the thickness of plating remaining.
