Vintage Bookends * Pair of Chalkware Eagles on Fluted ColumnsGold Finish * Heavy
This pair of handsome bookends feature Eagles with open wings atop fluted columns. They each measure 6-3/4\" tall x 4-3/4\" wide (across wings) x 4-3/4\" at widest point of base x 3-3/4\" depth of base. The bottoms have thick felt applied for protection.
The pair is quite substantial and are shaped in sucha way as to securely hold books. There are no flaws, chips, cracks or abrasions.
Online research shows others of this design attributed to the Roman Art Co. with a number of #1408. The bookends are, however, unmarked, so I can\'t guarantee this is what they are.
