I purchased this item at an estate sale where I was told it was from Germany. The couple lived in Germany for years (he was in the military) and had several other German steins. This is a hand blown lidded glass stein with hand painted flowers. The glass is gold in color and the lid is most likely pewter. It has a glass handle and is approximately 15\" tall. It is a beautiful piece and really makes a statement.
