This vintage piece is from the 20-30\'s. It is quite interesting. The onyx/marble base is light and medium green with beautiful veining of rust and white. It is about 7 3/4 in long and 3/4 high. It looks as if it has been reinforced/repaired along one vein. Check out photos carefully! It shows no sign of weakness. There is a little dip in the base to hold coins, keys, jewelry, etc. along the edge are two beautiful brass elephants. They may be baby and mother. The baby is about 1 1/2 in tall, the mom is 2 1/2 in. The mother is missing one of her tusks. The piece is very solid. I think it could use a good cleaning and some of the white powder will come off.The price has been reduced in price to reflect the defects. Check out the pictures carefully to see the defects! They are hardly noticeable I some....more in others!
