This perfume and bottle were introduced in 1933. The bottle was designed by Baccarat and is considered one of the truly iconic perfume bottles.Since Baccarat only made a limited edition of 8000 of these bottles, this bottle is probably made by Pochet et du Courval, who made all the other bottles through 1963.The \"radiance\" design was intended to simulate the spokes and movement of an airplane propeller. On the front side the nose is surrounded by the pierced metal \"Vol de Nuit\". The back of the bottle shows that design clearly as the round mound in the middle of the art deco rays looks like the point of a propeller. The ground crystal stopper is topped in gold-tone metal.
The bottle is half or slightly more than half full, so you are getting well more than an ounce of perfume, closer to an ounce and a half. I have applied the scent, and it is still good and wonderful, though when I caught a close-up whiff directly from the open bottle, it seemed a bit off. Interestingly, the bottle has no indication of volume or even of scent type (perfume, EDT, etc.). There is a paper sticker on the bottom in french which requires the seller to sell the perfume at the price established by Guerlain. This may indicate that it was a relatively rare export bottle, and probably dates it from the early portion of the 1933-1963 period for this bottle and fragrance. The bottle measures approximately 8.5 cm tall, 7 cm wide, and 3 cm deep. This size bottle was the one for 82 ml or 2.77 oz.
