This is a delightful vintage HellerKunst folk art hand painted wood figure of a man or dwarf smoking a pipe sitting under a large mushroom or toadstool. He has a beard. I\'m not sure who the character is, but it is marked \"Fliegenpilz\" on the back. These were based on German folk tales and was purchased in Germany in the 1960s. It is in fabulous condition with no damage or paint wear as shown and has been carefully stored. It measures about 7 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall. It has a hanger on the back. It has a stamped indentation with the Hellerkunst logo with tree design on back and R/40 Fliegenpilz stamped in blue ink. This would make a wonderful and colorful decoration for a child\'s room.
