Wow. You just don’t see a chenille like this very often.
You have the opportunity to own one of the most amazing Hofmann Supertuft vintage chenille bedspreads I have come across in my years of collecting chenille. This stunning neutral beauty is every bit as beautiful today as it was 50+ years ago!
Celebrated for its ultraplus chenille and eye-pleasing design, this particular pattern boasts an unsurpassed quality and degree of richness that sets it apart from other Hofmanns I’ve had the pleasure of owning. If you look at the pictures closely, you might notice a difference in the chenille’s height in the flowers and leaves. This gives the flowers and leaves a nearly 3-d appearance, which seems to“pop” off of the beautiful light gray ground cloth. Please note, Hofmann’s version of gray has an ever so slight blue tinge to it, and it looks stunning with a multitude of colors. This bedspread is untagged, but it is a well-known Supertuft by Hofmann pattern. Please draw your own conclusions.
Size: Approximately 88 inches by 104 inches. Square Corners (not rounded) at foot of bed. No Fringe. No tag. Pictured on a California King mattress. Note! Turn sideways to better accommodate your Queen or King-sized bed, if you don’t need to tuck over/around pillows. I personally prefer to do this, because it better upholds the integrity andlongevity of the chenille.
Condition: This bedspread is in marvelous vintage condition. The only flaw I came across was a tiny hole near the bottom right corner (foot of the bed). Please see the picture with the ring. That’s it, folks! The groundcloth is dense, the gray color is not faded, and I couldn’t find any stains or repairs. Very soft and dense, heavy. I’m not perfect, and I may have missed other small imperfections. That said, I looked this one over very meticulously because I want you to be pleased.
This bedspread has been lovingly soaked, cleaned, and will arrive fresh and ready for immediate use.
