Vintage HTF Griswold IRON MOUNTAIN # 8 Cast Iron Long Griddle:

This griddle is clean with almost no wear, but it does bow down in the center or the ends bow up. There are no chips or cracks, some light pitting in the casting along one edge of the surface and shown in a photo.The griddle is used on a 2 burner stove and should still work good.Measures 17 inches by 9.5 inches on the cooking surface, and weighs 8.5 pounds. Thegriddlewas cleaned for collector consideration andisready to be seasonedwith your preferred methods if you wish to use itfor cooking. Please note we only clean cast iron cook ware that needs it. If the seasoning is good we will offer the item that way. Our cleaning is done by electrolysis, then soft wire brushed and steel wooled. Then it is washed clean and giving a thin coat of digestible mineral oil for preservation. It takes a long time to clean these old items but one can clearly see the defects if any. We never sand blast as this will ruin a polished surface.
