Vintage Rare 1880\'s Hand Carved Sardonyx Intaglio 14K Frame Earrings Roman/Greek Soldier

Circa 1880-1900 hand carved Sardonyx earrings in their original hand made 14k frames. Left and right perfect condition. Matching carved Roman soldiers or could be Greek. The soldier and his shield are white. The background is reddish with a white haze. The earrings sit with the head at the top. We believe tese were probably men’s cuff links and later converted to clip post earrings. The carvings are both top quality and condition. They are beautifully translucent as well. There is a natural Patina on both earrings. Excellent condition, no repairs or defects. These look great on the ear. 2 square shaped hard stone cameo’s 5/8 x 5/8 or 17 x 17mm. Stamped: 14k. 14.2 grams. 7/8 x 7/8 inch.
