Featured is one Vintage Handmade Mexican Folk Art Marionette. Simply crafted of wood block for the torso and feet, and hand-painted chalkware head and hands, with wood control bar and strings attached to head, hands and legs. Clothes are made of mismatched, faded scraps of material. Doll measures approximately 15\" tall and 26\" with strings and control bar. Made in Mexico.

Marionettes have been a part of Mexican culture for many years, often used to entertain at fairs, as well as a way of teaching moral values through religious storytelling.

Marionette is easy to manipulate and fun for children. Great for fiestas and Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

CONDITION:
Overall very good clean vintage condition with a couple of small paint chips on hands. There are obvious imperfections inherent in the craftsmanship. Never played with. All strings attached with functional control bars. From a smoke-free Environment.
