This is a 1920s-30s vintage trinket box in 800 silver made in Germany. It has a beautiful and ornate design overall all sides except the bottom. On the lid, there are two cherubs who appear to be crowning a third cherub. The top is hinged and closes snuggly. The inside has a faint gold wash. It is an usually large size perfect for trinkets or jewelry, but may have originally been a cigarette box. It is in good vintage condition showing only light wear. We gave it a light shine just to show the design more, but otherwise left the patina intact. You could fully shine it up if desired. Marked on bottom.
