This belonged to my Grandfather. I remember playing with it as a kid. That was 58 years ago. He used it to hold his pipe. I have seen others on . They say it is a ashtray too. It is missing a small piece on the back of it\'s head. It looks like it was head feathers that stuck up. The piece still looks really pretty. I think it\'s bronze. Maybe brass. It stands 6 1/4\' tall. the base diameter is 2 1/2\". No dents or cracks. If you don\'t smoke, it would make a cool paper weight or it could be just for display.
