We are offering a vintage mid 20th century Hopi Katsina/Kachina Rugan Cottonwood Doll. Rugan is a class of katsinasthat come in groups, accompanied by the Corn Maidens, who play on rasp musical instruments. There are various types of Rugan Katsinas.Stands 6 1/8\" tall. In very good condition. Paint is all original with light wear commensurate with age. There is a light smokey film covering the doll - may have been displayed close to a fireplace or ? There is a small chip to the paint on the back side of the left foot and a tiny chip to the paint on the back of the head. No breaks or missing pieces, no restoration. Fresh out of an estate and offered here for the first time. Payment in full is expected within 48 hours of close of sale. I pack and ship on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
