Vintage Italy Signed A. Santini Sculpture Statue Roman Soldiers on Horses in Battle. This is a gorgeous alabaster sculpture.Amiloare Santini, was born in Italy, 1910, near the city of Florence in Tuscany. He became an apprentice to the sculptor Colombini at the age of twelve. He then traveled to Florence and attended the university there for four years. He was implemental of the process in combining marble, alabaster and resin. He passed away in 1975. He was one of the finest sculptors of the period, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculptures than the Santini replicas from Italy.
In very good + condition, without chips, cracks or discoloration. The sculpture itself measures 13in by 5in and approximately 11 in. tall and weighs about 8 lbs.
