Vintage glass ashtray from Johnny\'s & Sammy\'s Alpine Room, in Salisbury, MD. Johnny\'s & Sammy\'s was located on Route 13 in Salisbury, MD. It was built in a chalet style and featured a main dining area known as the Alpine Room, a coffee shop and a lounge. From the 1940s through the 1980s, this noted institution was considered THE place to eat, socialize, and dance the night away. The Alpine Room offered a more upscale menu which included favorites such as prime rib and surf and turf.

Johnny\'s & Sammy\'s Alpine Room restaurant was demolished in the 1990s and a Wawa convenience store built in its place.

The ashtray measures 4 1/8\" x 4 1/8\" x 3/4\" tall. The brown graphics are just terrific! Wonderful detail with the chalet roof at the bottom right and the mountains in the background. A chain link pattern surrounds the center scene.

Very good condition. No chips or cracks. One pinprick rough spot on the inner rim. It\'s a real neat old ashtray.
